Application Notes
Windows are the electromagnetic weak point of any building: even when the walls are shielded, radiation enters through the glass. YSHIELD window films are applied to the glass and attenuate high-frequency radiation without sacrificing daylight. Three models are available depending on light transmission and mounting surface.

Installation and Application
- The glass is measured and the film cut with a 2-3 mm margin; installation must be carried out in a dust-free environment.
- Water mixed with FMK30 mounting concentrate is sprayed generously onto the glass and onto the film's adhesive side.
- The film is laid onto the glass, and water and air are worked out from the centre to the edges with the FVR10 squeegee.
- On RDF72 the cut edges are sealed against moisture with FKV50 varnish; the film reaches full clarity within a few days.

Care and Service Life
Films can be cleaned 30 days after installation with non-abrasive glass cleaners and a soft cloth. Sharp scrapers must not be used. A correctly installed film serves for years without bubbling.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the film darken the glass?
RDF72 has 72% and RDF62 62% light transmission — noticeable to the eye but not disturbing. RDF25 (25%) is deliberately for façades that also want solar control.
Is it applied to the inside or the outside of the glass?
RDF62 and RDF72 go on the inside; RDF25 can also be applied to the outside and to heat-absorbing glass. On insulated glazing units, choosing the wrong face can cause thermal stress; ask us if unsure.
Is film alone enough?
It seriously reduces the component entering through the window (up to 33-35 dB); but if the walls are weak, a combination with paint is needed to reach the room target. A shield is only as strong as its weakest point.
Does it work on double glazing / insulated glass?
Yes; the film is applied to the glass surface and attenuates high-frequency waves regardless of the glass type. On heat-absorbing glass, RDF25 should be chosen.

Products are delivered in the original YSHIELD packaging, with the manufacturer's warranty, by insured shipping throughout Türkiye. Products sold by the metre are cut to the length you order; for project-based orders the delivery schedule is settled at the survey.
