Application Notes

The sleeping area, where the body rests through the night, is the top priority for shielding. Bed canopies create a Faraday-cage-like protective volume around the bed. The ready-made SAFECAVE series offers a fast and economical solution, while the canopies made in YSHIELD's own sewing workshop are tailored entirely to your choice of fabric and dimensions.

For complete protection: the underside of the canopy must not remain open — close the protective volume from below with the BU280 base underlay laid beneath the bed or the U1S/U2S base mats.

Installation and Application

Pyramid models hang from a single ceiling point, box models from four corner points; the fabric should surround the bed freely on all sides.
The skirt should be tucked under the mattress or meet a floor mat (BU280, U1S/U2S) on the floor — the gap underneath is the most often forgotten hole in the protection.
SAFECAVE tents stand on their own frame; the pop-up model opens in seconds.
Models in groundable fabric can be earthed with GCV/GCR accessories (observing the rules for portable use).

Care and Service Life

The canopy fabric is washed with TEXCARE on a low spin cycle when needed; frequent washing is unnecessary. Closing the entrance after use and keeping the fabric away from sharp surfaces is all it takes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a phone inside?

Not recommended: an active transmitter inside a shielded volume concentrates its signal inside. Leave the phone outside or switch it to flight mode.

Will I run out of air?

No — the nets are porous weaves and let air and heat pass. SAFECAVE tents have ventilation panels as well.

Why close off the underside?

Your downstairs neighbour's Wi-Fi router or the building's wiring enters the volume through an unprotected base. The BU280 floor mat closes this gap at 111 dB, without needing to be grounded.

Ready-made or custom-sewn?

For standard bed sizes, the ready-made SAFECAVE models are economical; if your bed frame has different dimensions or you want to choose the fabric, custom-sewn canopies (BXP/BXE/BXD) are made to order.

Products are delivered in the original YSHIELD packaging, with the manufacturer's warranty, by insured shipping throughout Türkiye. Products sold by the metre are cut to the length you order; for project-based orders the delivery schedule is settled at the survey.
